Memorial Hospital welcomes four new members to Evergreen Center team

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital Senior Life Solutions’ Evergreen Center recently welcomed four new team members — Valerie Brown, Max Holmes, Ashley Haynes and Dr. Prema Sanne.

Brown will be the program director, responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of program staff and providing community education to create awareness of the program. She has 25 years of experience as a nurse, 20 of them working in geriatrics.

Holmes, a program therapist, will be responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual and family therapy sessions. He will focus on patient care and the provision of services ordered by a physician.

Haynes, the office patient coordinator, is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services for the program staff and assisting patients with care needs. She has a background in mental health, billing, clerical and administrative services.

Sanne, the medical director, is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 16 years of experience in the mental health field. He will lead the care team by evaluating the quality and appropriateness of diagnoses, services and treatments for patients.

Memorial Hospital Senior Life Solutions’ Evergreen Center is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the needs of individuals typically 65 and older, experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes often associated with aging.

The Evergreen Center has provided behavioral health services to the region’s older adults for more than 16 years. Anyone can refer a patient to the program.
