CARTHAGE — Quincy Medical Group and Memorial Hospital in Carthage are partnering to provide kidney care to local patients. The new service will be offered at the Memorial Medical Building, 1450 N. Co. Road 2050.

QMG nephrologist Dr. Dan Evans will begin offering care to patients beginning Friday, Aug. 20.  Evans has been with QMG since 1981. He is board-certified by the American Board of Nephrology and American Board of Internal Medicine.

Evans specializes in kidney care and treats patients with kidney diseases or with conditions that affect their kidney function. Conditions include, but are not limited to, acute kidney failure, chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease.

“My focus is the patient’s quality of life by diagnosing, managing and treating kidney disease,” Evans shared. “Kidney disease can lead to other health complications, so it is important to pay attention to your kidney health and seek care to help you manage your kidney issues.”

Evans added that having local access to a nephrologist improves the quality of life of patients.

“This partnership will allow patients who experience kidney disease to get the care they need in a timely manner, right here in their home community,” he said.
