PITTSFIELD, Ill. — People in the Illini Community Hospital area who need lab testing have a new option beginning Monday, March 4.

Illini Express Clinic in Pittsfield, on the Illini Hospital campus, will provide pre-registered patients their outpatient lab testing in the clinic’s drive-through bay instead of the person having to go the laboratory inside the hospital during the hours they are open.

In a press release, Lexy Damon, nurse manager of Emergency Services and Illini Express Clinic, said, “We are expanding access to care for our patients who are not able to get to the hospital when the outpatient lab is open. This is also a major convenience for patients since they can pre-register for labs and come through the Illini Express Clinic drive-through bay without having to step foot out of their car.”

To pre-register for outpatient lab work, a person can call 217-285-2113, ext. 3165, anytime between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. An Illini representative will collect the needed information and have pre-registration completed when the person arrives at Illini Express Clinic for their lab testing.

Patients pre-registered for outpatient lab work can then go to Illini Express Clinic Monday-Saturday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. or holidays 7-11 a.m. The clinic is closed Sundays.
