QUINCY — The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) and Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF) are partnering to be the hosts of an automation seminar from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 4, at the Oakley Lindsay Center – Lindsay Room. Breakfast and a networking opportunity will begin at 8:30 a.m.

This seminar will provide manufacturers of all sizes, including small and mid-sized businesses, with practical insights into automation and its impact on the industry.

Many manufacturers assume that implementing automation is too costly or only beneficial for large companies. This seminar will challenge those assumptions and offer creative solutions to integrate automation into existing operations, addressing workforce shortages and enhancing productivity.

Attendees will benefit from real-world examples and expert discussions covering:

  • Strategies for adopting automation technologies.
  • State and local resources
  • Upskilling and training current employees.
  • Case studies
  • Open discussion with peers to address shared challenges.

The event will bring together manufacturers and industry leaders for a morning of collaboration and idea-sharing. If a business is adopting automation for the first time or enhancing existing processes, this seminar offers actionable insights and resources to help it thrive.
