JDub Academy returns in June with more than 50 classes to choose from

QUINCY — John Wood Community College’s JDub Academy is back this summer with an exciting lineup of hands-on, educational courses for students in grades K-12. The program offers opportunities for kids to explore interests, build skills and discover future career pathways — all in a fun, engaging environment with more than 50 classes to choose from this summer.

New courses for this summer include:

  • Code Explorers – Dive into the world of programming and problem-solving.
  • Viral Video Masters – Learn video creation and editing techniques to make content that stands out.
  • Introduction to Electricity – A Career Pathway course exploring the basics of electrical work and safety.
  • Future Fusion: Virtual Reality & Robotics – A Career Pathway course offering a futuristic take on technology.
  • Edible Art: A Cooking Adventure – A creative culinary experience blending food and fun.
  • Hidden Trails: Nature’s Role in the Underground Railroad – Offered in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension and the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County, this special Bicentennial-themed course explores the rich history of the region.

  • Young Scientists
  • Crafty Creatures

  • Buzz, Flutter, Bloom: A Pollinator Adventure @ Four Winds Farm
