Jensen Woods Camp serving ‘Soup in the Woods’ fundraiser Oct. 19-20

TIMEWELL, Ill. — The Dixon Lodge dining room at Jensen Woods Camp, 1498 275E Street in Timewell, will be the site for “Soup in the Woods” Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20.

Serving hours on Saturday will be 3 to 6 p.m. with a menu of taco, chicken noodle and potato soups; pulled pork, grilled cheese, hotdogs, veggies and desserts. Sunday’s menu choices of stuffed pepper, chili, oyster and veggie soups, grilled cheese, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, veggies and desserts will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A freewill offering will be accepted for the meals, with carry-out and gluten-free options available.

Other activities on both days will be wagon rides, pumpkin decorating, crafts, archery, lawn games, corn box, apple chucking and live entertainment. A bounce house will be available for children. Cost for the bounce house is $2.
