JWCC Foundation’s wine pull fundraiser for student support set for Thursday at Quincy Country Club
QUINCY — The John Wood Community College Foundation’s wine pull fundraiser will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Quincy Country Club.
Tickets are on sale for this popular community event. Proceeds will support JWCC students. The cost is $50 per person, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, carving stations and desserts. A cash bar will be available.
The evening will feature wines, food, music, friendship and the fun element of a wine pull, which is a drawing for a bottle of surprise-wrapped wine. Guests can buy a cork to then “pull” a bottle of wine from the rack. Each pull costs $25. Two pulls may be bought for $40. Wines range in value from $15 to several hundred dollars.
New this year for participants of the event will be a chance to win a 10-year-old bottle of Rip Van Winkle bourbon for $20 a chance.
Contact JWCC Foundation Executive Director Barb Holthaus for tickets or to be a sponsor at 217-641-4105 or foundation@jwcc.edu. More information may be found at www.jwccfoundation.org.
JWCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, providing assistance to help students achieve their educational goals.
