Kansas State University recognizes Batley with Rising Professional Award
QUINCY — Garrick Batley of IPI Wealth Management, 420 Maine, was honored with the Rising Professional Award by Kansas State University on March 28.
This award acknowledges the contributions of a graduate in the early stages of their career, recognizing their significant achievements in various professional domains.
The Rising Professional Award is bestowed upon people who have demonstrated remarkable accomplishments in design, business, human behavior, teacher education or health sciences. Recipients are selected based on their impactful contributions and exemplary dedication to their respective fields.
A 2018 graduate of Kansas State University, Batley holds a master of science degree in financial planning, complemented by a financial therapy graduate certificate.
Kansas State University’s Personal Financial Planning (PFP) program, renowned for its top-five national ranking, played a role in Batley’s professional development. Equipping future financial advisors with comprehensive skills, the program goes beyond traditional financial education to encompass vital aspects of client communication and understanding.
In addition to rigorous coursework covering retirement planning, investment strategies, tax management, insurance and estate planning, PFP students undergo specialized training in financial counseling and family relationship dynamics. This holistic approach ensures graduates are well-equipped to address the diverse needs and aspirations of their clients effectively.
