Kroc Center seeking volunteers for summer food service program from June 2 to Aug. 8

QUINCY — The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is seeking volunteers for the Summer Food Service Program, providing free nutritious meals to children aged 18 and under.

Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Responsibilities are serving meals, maintaining clean tables, and distributing milk and snacks. Interested people can watch the training video and sign up for shifts at krocquincy.org/summer-food-service-program.

Meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 2 to Aug. 8, excluding July 4.

Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Persons with disabilities who requirealternative means of communication to obtain program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the responsible state or local agency that administers the program or USDA’s TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TTY) or contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.
