Kush 21 opens first cannabis dispensary in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Kush 21, one of Washington State’s longest operating cannabis dispensary retailers, celebrated on Feb. 17 the official grand opening of the company’s first dispensary retail location in Illinois.

The store featuring 4,300 square feet of retail space and more than 1,000 products.

The Jacksonville Kush 21 recreational cannabis dispensary is at 1112 Veterans Drive, next to the city’s post office and Ashley Furniture. The dispensary offers products for sale ranging from $5 to $300. Kush 21 Jacksonville will offer a variety of deals and community-based discounts, with regular updates posted at the dispensary website Kush21.com

Kush 21 Founder and CEO Michale Beraki describes the opening of this dispensary as an opportunity to be the example of a successful black-owned cannabis business in Illinois.

In a press release, Beraki said, “We’re excited to bring Kush 21 to Jacksonville. We feel like our experience and tenure in this industry can be an asset to the local community of consumers, aspiring cannabis entrepreneurs and industry as a whole.”
