Living Water to host Sunday worship at Nauvoo Grape Festival on Sept. 1

NAUVOO, Ill. — Living Water, a local worship band, will lead a time of worship during the Nauvoo Grape Festival beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 in the entertainment tent at Nauvoo State Park. The event is sponsored by Golden’s Point Christian Church of Hamilton.

Area residents and Grape Fest attendees are invited to join in singing traditional and contemporary worship songs and hear an inspiring message of faith by Shawn Whitaker of rural Hancock County. Whitaker teaches English at Warsaw High School and is a Nauvoo police officer, an ordained minister and an elder at Keokuk Evangelical Free Church. Living Water is led by Michael Haas of Hamilton, with Kris Knoke of Nauvoo and Amanda Greenhalge of Dallas City.
