QUINCY — The Guns N’ Hoses annual charity softball game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at QU Stadium (1800 Sycamore). This event pits local law enforcement officers from the Quincy Police Department against the Quincy Fire Department firefighters.

Police and fire departments come together each year to foster positive connections with the public they serve and to provide an evening of fun, entertainment and heartfelt purpose. The event is designed to bring neighbors together to show appreciation for the men and women who protect and serve every day.

A supporter of this year’s game is Servpro. Owner Tim Maguire, a former paramedic in St. Charles, knows the sacrifices and commitment it takes to be a first responder.

“Supporting first responders and giving back to our local community is a priority for our family and our business,” Maguire said in a press release. “We’re honored to be a part of something that celebrates their dedication and brings our town together.”

A portion of the proceeds from the Guns N’ Hoses game will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
