Local nursing honor society chapter earns recognition at international convention

QUINCY — The local chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Pi Pi Chapter based at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, received a Chapter Key Award at the international honor society’s recent biennial convention in San Antonio, Texas.

Chapters receiving the Key Award have achieved success in the areas of membership recruitment and retention, publicity and programming, professional and leadership development, and local, national and international collaboration.

Only 116 of more than 530 chapters received the award. The Pi Pi Chapter was a Chapter Key Award recipient for the 10th time. Chapter leaders attending the convention were Connie Scott, Pi Pi president; Susan McReynolds, membership involvement chair; and Marianne Schmitt, awards chair.
