QUINCY — Luther Memorial Church will hold its chili cook-off fundraiser at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, in the fellowship hall in the church basement.

Proceeds will support youth summer trips to Confirmation Camp, Leadership Lab and the highly anticipated ELCA’s Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

Participants are invited to showcase their chili-making skills by entering the contest for a fee of $20. The winner of the competition will receive a $50 cash prize and the coveted Golden Ladle.

For those eager to taste and judge the chili creations, tickets are available for $5 each at the door. With a ticket, attendees can sample all of the chilis plus get a hot dog, a bottle of water and a vote for their favorite chili.

People interested in entering the contest can visit www.lmcquincy.org and complete the registration form by Wednesday, March 6.

In a press release, Brett Gosteli, pastor at Luther Memorial Church, said, “We are thrilled to host our chili cook-off fundraiser to support our youth summer trips. These trips help our youth to grow in their faith alongside others, allow them to share in the joys, struggles and lives of people who they would otherwise never meet, and give them once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”

For more information, contact Gosteli at 309-657-5814 or pastor.brett@lmcquincy.org or youth ministry team chair Kari Gosteli at 309-657-5175 or kari@gosteli.org.
