Luther Memorial Church youth group to be host of Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner

QUINCY — Luther Memorial Church will hold its Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on on Tuesday, March 4, in the fellowship hall in the basement of Luther Memorial Church, 1210 Jersey.

Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday, marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a time of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter.

The dinner serves as a fundraiser to support youths at Luther Memorial Church in funding their trips to Confirmation Camp, Leadership Lab and the Central/Southern Illinois Synod Youth Retreat. These trips provide irreplaceable opportunities for spiritual growth, community engagement and leadership development for the youth members.

The free-will offering meal will have pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice.
