Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce hires new executive director

MACOMB, Ill. — Steven Brody has joined the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce as its executive director. Brody’s goal is to work with the business community, public officials, peers and other key stakeholders to promote the Macomb area and Western Illinois.

Brody previously was the executive director for the Burlington/West Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce and the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce. While in Galesburg, Brody was on the board of directors for the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

In addition to his work with the Chamber of Commerce, Brody has hosted a public affairs radio and television program in California. Most recently, he was the host of a podcast aired on several platforms.

Originally from California, Brody holds a bachelor of arts in political science from UCLA and a juris doctor degree from the American College of Law.
