QUINCY — The Makers Market will return to the heart of downtown from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, with a special preview night from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 13. The event takes place on the newly renovated and pedestrian-friendly Sixth Street promenade, spanning from Maine to Vermont.

What started six years ago with a handful of artisans has grown into a regional event featuring nearly 90 artisan vendors showcasing handcrafted jewelry, home goods, artwork and vintage clothing.

Event highlights are:

  • Nearly 90 curated artisan vendors
  • A rotating selection of food trucks offering delicious eats
  • Live music performances throughout the day
  • A children’s activity zone for hands-on fun
  • A relaxing cigar lounge for adults to unwind

The Preview Night on Friday offers an opportunity to shop early, meet the makers and enjoy the ambiance before the full festival kicks off on Saturday.

“The renovation of Sixth Street has transformed the area into a vibrant, walkable destination,” Tieraney Craig, event organizer, said in a press release. “We’re thrilled to utilize such a beautiful, community-oriented space.”

Admission is free.
