Masonic scholarships available for local students; deadline to apply is April 1

QUINCY — The Valley of Quincy, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in conjunction with the Grand Lodge of Illinois of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons will be awarding 41 new and renewal to local new or returning college students totaling over $86,000.

More than 449 scholarships will be awarded statewide totaling more than $705,000. Eligible students may apply for a new or renewal scholarship via an online application process.

Some of the scholarships require a Masonic relationship, but most of the scholarships awarded are to students studying health sciences and do not require a Masonic relationship.

The applications must be completed and submitted by April 1.
