Masonic scholarships totaling more than $82,000 awarded to 41 area students

QUINCY — The Valley of Quincy, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in conjunction with the Grand Lodge of Illinois of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons recently awarded 41 new and renewal scholarships to local college students totaling more than $82,000.  Statewide, more than 456 scholarships were awarded totaling more than $935,000.

The new scholarship awardees from the Quincy area are:

  • Ashlyn Babey of Quincy attending University of Missouri-Columbia
  • Gabriella Cook of Quincy attending Quincy University
  • Emily Depke of Hull attending University of Illinois-Urbana
  • Jenna Kinne of Vermont attending Spoon River College
  • Dalton Sheurman of Griggsville attending Bradley University
  • Jackson Veile of Rockport attending University of Illinois-Urbana
  • Seth Vincent II of Hull attending College of the Ozarks
  • Kennedy Eaves of Nauvoo attending State Technical College of Missouri
  • Ted Eifert of Rushville attending Spoon River College
  • Meg Musgrove of Pittsfield attending Illinois College
  • Natali White of Liberty attendingJohn Wood Community College
  • Bentlie Wiskirchen of Camp Point attending Blessing Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • Ellianna Ten Eyck of Pittsfield attending Illinois State University
  • Jonathon Barfield of Mt Sterling attending Iowa State University
  • Michael Myers of Griggsville attending University of Illinois-Urbana

The students were selected based on their accomplishments, academic standing, their family situation and referral letters.
