Master Naturalists to host fall color tree walk Sunday at Camp Sacajawea

QUINCY — The local chapter of Illinois Extension Master Naturalists invites the public to Camp Sacajawea, 4220 Ghost Hollow Road, to enjoy the changing colors of local trees.

This guided walk, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, will take attendees along the less than one-mile accessible trail. It will include light hiking on uneven terrain.

The walk will identify and discuss tree species while enjoying the fall ambiance in nature. Local Master Naturalists and Extension Natural Resources educator Amy Lefringhouse will lead the walk and highlight the upcoming Illinois Master Naturalist course.
