McDonough County Communty Foundation

MACOMB, Ill. — The McDonough County Community Foundation (MCCF) announced a $10,000 donor-directed endowed fund to support the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Program. The endowment, which will provide yearly proceeds to support CEO, was announced Sept. 13 at the Old Dairy Café.

In a press release, MCCF chair Scott Coker said, “We are very happy to be presenting this fund to help the CEO program. It is a great opportunity for local high school students to learn to be entrepreneurs.”

Ketra Roseleib, CEO board chair, accepted the endowment on behalf of the organization, along with the CEO Class of 2024-25.

The McDonough County CEO Program, part of the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship, seeks to prepare youth to be responsible, enterprising individuals and contribute to economic development and sustainable communities. Students are immersed in real-life learning experiences with the opportunity to take risks, manage the results and learn from the outcomes.
