League of Women Voters to host candidates forum for Macomb races on Wednesday
MACOMB, Ill. — The League of Women Voters of McDonough County will host a candidates forum at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 1 in the Macomb High School library.
The event will have candidates for Macomb mayor, city clerk, city treasurer, alderman at large and city council wards 1, 3 and 4, Macomb school board, Macomb park board and Macomb library board.
Candidates invited to participate are:
- Mayor: Mike Inman and write-in candidate Kristin-Dianne LJ Pollock
- City Clerk: Renee Lotz and Kate Michael-Matsey
- City Treasurer: Mac Price
- Alderman at Large: Don Wynn, Tammie Leigh Brown-Edwards and AJ Bauser
- Ward One Alderman: Justin Schuch and Mike Wayland
- Ward Three Alderman: Byron Oden-Shabazz and write-in Jeffery Hall;
- Ward Four Alderman: Dave Dorsett and write-in Sterling Saddler
- Candidates for school board: Robin Severs, Rebekah Buchanan, David Grove, Emily Sutton, James Fowler, Stephen Gray and Kristin Terry
- Candidates for park board: Sterling Edwards, Neil Armstrong, Philip Weiss and Molly Selders.
- Candidates for library board: Kathy Grulke and Dean Watson
- Candidates for Spoon River College board: Kevin Meade, Dave Maguire and Phillip Murphy
The event will be live streamed on the League’s website, lwvmcdonough.org, and on the local organization’s Facebook page, facebook.com/LWVMCD. Beginning Monday, March 6, the program will be shown on local cable channel 15 daily until the election. Broadcast times can be found at cityofmacomb.com/channel15.
