MACOMB, Ill. — The Ambassador Committee of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce took part in a celebratory ribbon cutting on Aug. 10 to recognize the grand opening of the new Macomb 185 Schools Macomb Middle School at 1531 S. Johnson.

A project 30 years in the making, the 80,000 square foot building includes specific pods for 6th-8th grades, state-of-the art instructional technology, an 800-person capacity gymnasium, a student enrichment media center and many other amenities.
