Medicare Advantage open enrollment period begins Wednesday

QUINCY — While the Medicare open enrollment period is over, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period is open Jan. 1 through March 31.

During this time, current Medicare Advantage enrollees can switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan, return to original Medicare, and/or add a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.

For 2025, Blessing Health will be considered in-network for the following Medicare-related insurance plans only:

• Traditional Medicare and its supplements, no matter the insurer,
• BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Medicare Advantage,
• Molina Medicare Advantage,
• Total Retiree Advantage Illinois (trail) and Extended Service Area (ESA)
• United HealthCare Medicare Advantage, and
• Humana – Employer PPO plan

While in-network for those plans only, Blessing will accept all Medicare Advantage plans during 2025. The only difference is that for all other plans than those listed above, Blessing will be considered out-of-network and patients may pay a higher out-of-pocket cost but will still receive care if they wish.
