Memorial Hospital to offer screenings for A1C, lipid panel, hearing and vision on Nov. 13

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital will offer community health screenings on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Health and Wellness Conference Room on the Memorial Hospital campus. These screenings will provide an opportunity for residents to check in on aspects of their health. A1C, lipid panel, hearing and vision screening are available for $25.

Participants must register and pay in advance. Only two spots are open every 15 minutes, and 18 spots are available. Participants should also note that fasting 10 to 12 hours before the lipid panel is required to ensure accurate results.

In recognition of National Diabetes Month in November, the A1C test, which measures blood sugar levels, will be important for people monitoring or concerned about diabetes.
