National Louis University from Chicago offering 25 percent tuition scholarship to JWCC graduates

QUINCY — National Louis University (NLU) recently announced a new partnership with John Wood Community College (JWCC) to support students in advancing their educational and career goals.

Through this collaboration, JWCC graduates are now eligible for a transfer scholarship, covering 25 percent of total tuition at NLU. To qualify, students must complete their associate degree at JWCC and apply to NLU within one year of graduation.

“This agreement represents a significant step forward in expanding opportunities for our students at JWCC who are passionate about becoming educators,” Shelley Barkley, vice president of academic and student affairs, said in a press release. “By partnering with National Louis University, we’re providing a clear, affordable and accessible pathway for future teachers to continue their education seamlessly. It reflects our shared commitment to supporting students from the start of their journey through to a meaningful career in education.”

Founded in 1886, National Louis University is a private, non-profit institution based in Chicago olffering more than 60 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

NLU provides a student-centered learning model with options for 100 percent online, hybrid and on-campus classes. Whether studying full-time or part-time, students can choose the format that fits their lifestyle and location, with the potential to graduate in as little as two years.
