Oakley School of Business at Quincy University recognizes students during award ceremony

QUINCY — Quincy University’s Oakley School of Business was the host of an award ceremony on April 25 in the Hall of Fame Room in the QU Health and Fitness Center.

The program featured comments from Brian McGee, QU president, and Cynthia Haliemun, dean of the Oakley School of Business. Faculty in the Oakley School of Business presented awards and recognized students for their achievements this past academic year. The following awards were presented at the event.

Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society

Seven business students and two faculty members from the Oakley School of Business were inducted into Quincy University’s Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. Sigma Beta Delta honors juniors, seniors and MBA graduate students in the top twenty percent of their classes.

Three business students were awarded Certificates of Performance Excellence. The Oakley School of Business honors students who are at least at the 90th percentile of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) for the Business Major Field Test, a nation-wide business test.
