Online auction of Pike County Highway Building in Pittsfield ends Nov. 17

PITTSFIELD, Ill. — The Pike County Highway Building, 1101 Lakeview Heights, is available through an online auction.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood invites interested parties to participate through Roup, which allows the Pike County Sheriff’s Office to streamline the process and make properties more accessible and convenient for both buyers and sellers. Online auctions provide wider exposure for listed properties, extended bidding windows that accommodate a broader range of potential buyers and a transparent and secure platform for transactions.

Bidding for the 2.96 acre commercial property has started and will close at 10 a.m. Nov. 17. The opening bid was $160,000. The auction’s end date and time will be extended automatically if one or more bids are placed within the last three minutes of the auction. These extensions will continue until at least three minutes elapse with no bidding.

The winning bidder must close within 30 days of the sale. A 2% buyer’s premium will be added to the purchase price. The property will be open for inspection. To request an appointment to visit the property, call 217-285-4364.
