Orthopedic surgeon with special skill replacing artificial joints joins Blessing Health
QUINCY — Dr. Sean Moroze has joined the Blessing Health department of orthopedics and sports medicine.
An Air Force veteran, Moroze graduated with honors from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, completed an orthopedic surgery residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center and a fellowship in adult reconstruction/total joints at Florida Orthopedic Institute.
In addition to doing total joint replacements and other common orthopedic surgical procedures, Moroze is skilled as a “revisionist,” an orthopedic surgeon who replaces artificial joints that have failed for one reason or another.
In a press release, Moroze said, “It’s complex surgery. There is no guidebook for joint revisions. You get in there and see what the situation is and figure out what needs to be done to give the person their mobility back.”
