Parade, balloon glow on Thursday kick off activities for Quincy University’s homecoming weekend

QUINCY — Quincy University will host its annual homecoming weekend Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, with numerous events planned for alumni, students and the community.

Festivities kick off on Thursday, Sept. 28, with the homecoming parade and the annual balloon glow block party.

Weekend events include the Chuck French Memorial Golf Tournament, the QU baseball golf outing, men’s and women’s soccer games, a men’s volleyball game, a sprint football game, tailgating and the homecoming football game.

The annual alumni dinner begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, and recognize the 2023 reunion classes of 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018. The dinner will be held in the Hall of Fame Room. The university will recognize its alumnus of the year and recipients of the Franciscan Award and Rising Hawk award.
