Physical test for Adams County deputy sheriff position to be held April 6; written test set for April 16

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. — Adams County Sheriff Anthony Grootens recently announced the 2025 testing dates for the position of patrol deputy.

The physical test will be administered at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, at Flinn Stadium, 4400 Maine, in Quincy. The written test will be given to people who pass the physical test at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at the Adams County Courthouse, Room 2D, Quincy.

Applications are available on the Adams County web page under the employment tab or can be picked up at the sheriff’s office.
