Pike County Fair kicks off Tuesday with full schedule of events, runs through June 8

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — The Pike County Fair will run from June 4-8 at the Pike County Fairgrounds, 210 W. Clay in Pleasant Hill.

A variety of activities and events are scheduled throughout the week. Carnival rides by Amusement Associates will be open Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. and from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. The Miss and Jr. Miss Pike County Queen pageant will be held on Tuesday, followed by the IFPA truck and tractor pull shows on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will offer a monster truck show, with a demo derby scheduled for Saturday. The Baby, Little Mr. and Miss Pike County competition will be held on Saturday.

Other events are a sheep and goat show, speed horse show, beef show, swine show, TAG art dinosaur displays and wood carving shows.

Admission prices are:

  • Season pass — $60 for adults and $40 for children. Available online or at UCB Pittsfield, Central State Bank in Pleasant Hill or Bank of Kampsville in Pleasant Hill.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday — $10 for ages 5 and up. Seniors, active military (must show ID) and veterans will be admitted free.
  • Thursday — $10 for ages 5-12 and $20 for ages 13 and older
  • Friday — $15 for ages 5-12 and $25 for ages 13 and older (save $5 by purchasing online before the event)
  • Saturday — $10 for ages 5-12 and $20 for ages 13 and older

Children age 4 and younger are free every day.
