PLEASANT HILL, ill. — A new roof is on the way for the American Legion Post 1048 building in Pleasant Hill.

Richard Graham, treasurer for Post 1048, says a leak in the roof also led to repairs to the ceiling inside the building. Post 1048 officials started a GoFundMe account at Central State Bank in Pleasant Hill, and the goal of $6,000 recently was reached.

“There is no way I can thank everyone who has donated personally, but I thought this would be a good way to let everyone know that myself and everyone in the American Legion Post 1048 are very grateful for their donations,” Graham said in a press release. “Everyone was very generous in their giving. I am happy to let everyone know we have started on this project and will be working on it until completed.”
