Podiatrist joins Memorial Hospital staff at new clinic in Hamilton

HAMILTON, Ill. — Memorial Hospital recently announced the addition of Dr. Richard Sowlles to its medical team.

With a wealth of experience spanning more than three decades, Sowlles brings his expertise in general podiatric care, surgery and wound care to serve the community of Hamilton and its surrounding areas.

A native of Milwaukee, Sowlles earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside before earning his doctor of podiatric medicine degree at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago.

Sowlles has held memberships in organizations such as the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association and Iowa Podiatric Medical Society.

Sowlles previously served as a dedicated practitioner in Hamilton for more than three decades. He also contributed to the Wound Clinic at Keokuk Area Hospital from 2006 until 2022. He worked for Blessing Hospital in Keokuk from 2022 to 2024.
