QJHS principal selected for inclusion in Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction honors edition

QUINCY — Quincy Junior High School Principal Brenda J. Fleer recently was selected as an honored member of the Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction for demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership and overall outstanding performance in her field.

This recognition reflects her commitment to her profession and her contributions to the community. Only one woman may represent each state and profession each year.

Fleer began as the QJHS principal on July 1, 2022, replacing Dan Sparrow. She previously spent 18 years in the classroom teaching English, plus one year as a dean, one year as a school administration manager and four years as an assistant principal.

The Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction’s press release said Fleer “embodies the qualities solely deemed to those individuals who truly make a difference, such as compassion, expertise, and a true dedication, consistently going above and beyond to support the people who rely on her the most, including her colleagues. Her distinguished approach not only highlights her exceptional skill level but also serves to showcase her genuine compassion and empathy for others. Her integrity and compassion shine through in every aspect of her work, making her a role model for aspiring young professionals. Her journey to success is marked by hard work, sacrifice and determination. Her ability to connect with people sets her apart in the competitive landscape.”
