QND student organizing 5K run/walk to benefit Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry

QUINCY — Devin Bradfield, a junior at Quincy Notre Dame, is organizing a 5K run/walk beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, to meet requirements for his Eagle Scout project. The entry fee is a donation of canned/nonperishable food items, which will be donated directly to Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry.
The race will begin and end near the Quincy Boat Club. Participants will travel down Bonansinga Drive, turn onto Quinsippi Island and then return to the start/finish line.
In a press release, Bradfield said, “As the organizer of this event, I hope to make this not only a significant contribution to Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry but also a shared experience that will bring the community together. I’ve made countless cherished memories from the road races in Quincy, and I hope to share that same magic with all who participate in what can become a defining event in this city’s culture.”
