QU Hawk Express jazz band to perform annual holiday concert Tuesday with buffet included
QUINCY — The Quincy University Music Department will perform its Hawk Express jazz band holiday concert at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Quincy University cafeteria, 1800 College Ave. The concert is free and open to the public.
The band will perform holiday music with a jazz twist including “Santa Rocks the House,” “This Christmas,” “Gettin’ Funky on the Housetop,” “Jazzin’ Merry Gentleman,” and many more. Vocalists John Beisner and Joe Niemerg will be featured on the tune “Let it Snow.”
The band is under the direction of Christine Damm, dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication.
The public is welcome to the all-you-can eat buffet for a reduced price of $11.
