QUINCY — Quincy University welcomes alumna Teresa Kettelkamp (Class of 1974) as the featured speaker at the president’s leadership breakfast hosted by QU President Brian McGee from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the QU Cafeteria, 18th and Lind.

Kettelkamp was the first female to attain the rank of Colonel with the Illinois State Police. After retiring, she worked with a group conducting compliance audits of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. This led to her appointment as the USCCB’s executive director of the Secretariat of Child and Youth Protection. Kettelkamp is an appointed member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, created by Pope Francis, which meets twice a year in Rome.

The President’s Leadership Breakfast Series is a regular campus event where community leaders share their knowledge on different topics. While enjoying a buffet-style breakfast, local business professionals and government officials join QU faculty, staff and students to network and converse with each other. Each breakfast features a guest speaker that will share about their organization or cause and how they have demonstrated leadership.

All members of the community are welcome. For more information, contact advancement@quincy.edu or call 217-228-5227.
