QUINCY — Quincy University’s Brenner Library will be the site of the Family Reading Night Open House from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Families are encouraged to bring children ages five and under.

Attendees will rotate through different locations in Brenner Library and listen to popular children’s books read by QU early childhood education students and other volunteers. Parents can enroll their children in the free Dolly Parton Imagination Library program and get a free book every month until their child’s fifth birthday.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States and several other countries.

QU students and faculty and the United Way of Adams County are the hosts of Family Reading Night Open House.

For more information about Family Reading Night and QU’s early childhood education program, contact early childhood education instructor Danette Parham at d.parham32@quincy.edu.
