Quincy Medical Group welcomes new family practice physician

QUINCY — Quincy Medical Group recently welcomed family practice physician Dr. Stephen Nesbit, who brings many years of experience and a commitment to building relationships with his patients.

Inspired by his mother, a nurse, Nesbit’s passion for medicine began early. In a press release, Nesbit said, “She heavily influenced my decision to pursue this path. I’ve always been fascinated by the science and continuous learning that medicine offers, but most importantly, I wanted to help others. Many say they enter medicine to help people, and for me, that came to fruition. There’s no greater satisfaction than making a difference in someone’s life.”

Nesbit will provide comprehensive family medicine, caring for patients of all ages.

“Treating the whole person is crucial,” Nesbit explained. “By understanding the bigger picture, I can provide the most effective care, whether it’s for a sudden illness or ongoing management of a chronic condition.”

Nesbit is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Quality Assurance/Utilization Review Physicians. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City and a master’s in business administration from the University of Houston in Clear Lake, Texas.
