Quincy Police Department to hold national peace officer memorial ceremony Thursday

QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department will honor all fallen police officers with a brief ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 15, outside police headquarters at 530 Broadway. In recognition of this day, the Quincy Police Honor Guard will lower the flags to half-staff. The public is invited to attend.

Every day, police officers sacrifice much to protect and serve their communities. In 2024, 148 police officers across the nation sacrificed their lives.
