QUINCY — Quincy University’s School of Humanities is sponsoring a town hall forum in celebration of Constitution Day from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 18, in MacHugh Theatre in Francis Hall on QU’s main campus.

Constitution Day is a national celebration commemorating the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, recognizing all who have become citizens.

In a press release, Padraic Rohan, assistant professor of history, said, “In this year’s forum, we’ll explore contested understandings of democracy and revisit the perennial and increasingly relevant debates over the founding of the United States. Who are we, and where are we going? Who should we be, and where should we be going?”

The public is free to attend.
