Quincy YMCA to hold ‘It Takes a Village’ community thank you event on Sept. 7

QUINCY — The Quincy YMCA’s “It Takes a Village” community thank you event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7. This day is dedicated to expressing gratitude to the community that supports the organization through the annual campaign. This year’s campaign raised $175,000.

Community members are invited to visit the Y for a day of fun, fitness and family-friendly activities

Event Details:

• 7 to 10 a.m. — A variety of fitness classes are designed for all levels.
• 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Free nursery and toddler gym offered.
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Youth programs and a bounce house for children of all ages.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — The Quincy Children’s Museum will host a program with engaging and educational activities.
• All-day sand volleyball tournament at the Grove Inn.

Throughout the day, the YMCA will offer free access to all facilities and will have giveaways every hour.
