MEYER, Ill. — Red Dog Saloon 2 raised $42,100 for Fishing for Freedom at the saloon’s ninth annual fundraising event on Sept. 23.

In a press release, Fishing for Freedom board president Nathan Moore said, “Red Dog Saloon 2 and crew have been our largest sponsor for several years now, and we appreciate everything this group does to raise awareness and funding for the annual Fishing for Freedom event. The support and patriotism shown is second to none, as they enjoy giving back to our American Warriors. The board of Fishing for Freedom appreciates all who supported the event and joined us in September. We cannot do what we do without you.”

Fishing for Freedom will hold the annual warrior fishing tournament May 31-June 2, 2024. More than 300 veterans and active-duty service men and women are scheduled to attend the weekend fishing tournament and activities.
