QUINCY — The Redneck Sleigh will return Dec. 8-10 to benefit Chaddock children and families this Christmas season.

A specially commissioned dump truck will be positioned in the parking lot of Farm and Home Supply, 4625 Broadway, from Friday, Dec. 8, through Sunday, Dec. 10. Area residents are encouraged to donate new toys, clothing, and personal care items and place them into the bed of the truck. Volunteers will be on hand during select hours of each day to assist with dropoffs. All donations will be given to the children in Chaddock’s residential, school and foster care programs.

Clayton Roll, organizer of The Redneck Sleigh, owns and operates Rolling Operations, an area roll-off container rental company. Roll has organized this toy drive for three years using his own business’ equipment.

In a press release, Roll said, “The goal will be to stuff the truck full of toys and essentials for the girls and boys of Chaddock. This puts a smile on each one of those kids’ faces.”

Chaddock is an internationally recognized, faith-based leader in the treatment of children and families suffering from the effects of severe trauma and attachment-related issues. Chaddock serves nearly 400 children and families every day through their residential treatment program, foster and adoption program, an on-campus K-12 school and a full range of preventative, educational and treatment services.

“Many of the children in our residential program are able to travel home and be with their families for the holidays, but some wake up Christmas morning on our campus hundreds of miles from home. Other families have limited means to provide Christmas gifts for their little ones,” Chaddock Outreach Coordinator Shawna Bunnell said. “The generosity shown to our children and families through the Redneck Sleigh proves to them that they are seen and that they matter.”
