Santa to arrive by helicopter to greet children Saturday at JWCC’s Student Activity Center
QUINCY — Families in the Quincy area are invited to an event featuring Santa Claus arriving via helicopter at John Wood Community College from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Student Activity Center, 1301 S. 48th.
The helicopter will touch down at 11 a.m. on the JWCC soccer field (near the northwest entrance to the college). To see the helicopter landing, park in the lot west of the Student Activity Center near the ATM. If the helicopter is called into service, Santa will arrive separately and greet children inside the Student Activity Center.
After Santa’s arrival, families should enter the main entrance of the Student Activity Center to access the aerobics room. Families are welcome to take photos for free.
This event, sponsored by JWCC’s Student Life Organization, is held in conjunction with the women’s and men’s basketball games. The women’s game begins at 1 p.m. and the men’s game at 3 p.m. There is a charge for entry to the games.
For more information, contact Austin Banks, coordinator of Student Life, at 217-641-4944 or abanks@jwcc.edu. JWCC’s Facebook page will also have details and a map.
