QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department is reminding the public that the 20 mph school speed zone will remain in effect from during the four weeks of summer school, June 2-27. Enforcement hours for the 20 mph speed limit are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. when children are present at the following four schools:

  • Quincy Senior High School
  • Quincy Junior High School
  • Early Childhood (ECFC)
  • Denman Elementary

Summer school does constitute a school day. Remember to drive 20 mph through school zones, even if children can’t be seen. Many times, children are present but are not seen by motorists because of obstructions.
