Sen. Tracy receives Guardian of Small Business Award
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — State Sen. Jil Tracy (R-Quincy) is one of five Illinois State Senators who have received the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Guardian of Small Business Award.
“Small businesses are the bedrock of our state’s economy, so it is important to support the legislation that helps them succeed and to oppose the measures that are harmful to their economic growth,” Tracy said in a press release. “NFIB is a strong advocate for small businesses, and I am honored that they have recognized my work on behalf of small businesses.”
The 2023-24 NFIB Voting Record is based on eight key votes in the Illinois General Assembly on issues impacting small business.
“Small businesses need support now more than ever. I’m grateful to these pro-small business legislators for stepping up and giving Main Street a helping hand,” said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. “The cost of doing business is skyrocketing and small-business owners are being overwhelmed with bureaucratic red tape. If lawmakers want Illinois to succeed, they must work together to ensure that Illinois business owners can successfully own, operate, and grow their businesses.”
