QUINCY — SERVPRO of Quincy and Hannibal has partnered with local first responders to host a First Responders Charity Flag Football event on Saturday, Sept. 21. This all-day event will be held at the Paul Dennis Soccer Complex and will be open to the public for a $5 donation to the winning charity.

“We are huge supporters of our first responders. We wanted to create an event where we could bring them and their families together as well as the community. We couldn’t make this event happen without the help of our local first responders. We hope this will bring light to the SERVPRO First Responders Bowl,” Tim Maguire, SERVPRO Quincy and Hannibal franchise owner, said in a press release.

Special Olympics of Illinois-Region H will kick-off the day with the first game. A schedule of events will be published soon.

Each year, SERVPRO is the host of the First Responders Bowl to recognize the bravery and courage of people who arrive first at the scene of the emergency. The game celebrates neighbors, family and fellow citizens who serve as first responders protecting and preserving peace.

This year’s SERVPRO First Responder Bowl will be played on Jan. 3, 2025, at the Gerald Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Local nominations will be collected on Sept. 21 to be submitted for consideration for presentation at the Bowl Game.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Call 217-223-2993 for more information.
