Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner to support Luther Memorial Church youth group summer trips
QUINCY — Luther Memorial Church, 1210 Jersey, will hold its Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the fellowship hall in the basement. A free-will offering will be accepted.
Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday, marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a time of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter.
The pancake dinner serves as a fundraiser to support the youths at Luther Memorial Church in funding their summer trips to confirmation camp, leadership lab and the ELCA youth gathering in New Orleans. These trips provide opportunities for spiritual growth, community engagement and leadership development for the youths.
